School Tour
Initially, prospective parents are invited to visit Stellar Leadership Academy to tour the classrooms. They are introduced to all teachers and students and observe classes to get a better understanding of how Stellar Leadership Academy works. The parents discuss the school in greater detail and have questions answered by the school founder, Judy Spadafora immediately following the tour.
Tours are currently being scheduled for the 2009-2010 school year.
Application for Admission
Afterward, parents can request an Admissions packet to learn more about Stellar Leadership Academy and the admissions process. This packet is to be completed and returned to the school with a non-refundable $75.00 application fee prior to the next step.
Diagnostic Assessment
Stellar Leadership Academy requires all prospective students to take assessment tests (paper/pencil and performance-based) to measure appropriate placement. Stellar Leadership Academy also tests each applicant’s reading and math abilities to make a more informed decision regarding his or her individualized program.
Notification
Admission to Stellar Leadership Academy is based upon assessment of the child in regards to developmental readiness and academic ability, previous assessments and recommendations, teacher reflections during his or her visit at our school, and space availability. All applicants will be contacted via mail approximately two weeks after the Parent/Student tour.
